LadyKatesPhotography > August 5 Another fabulous S'Mugger get-together! ALEX (K. Tiethof) (aktpics) is presently touring California and we were honored with his presence last night and today!!! My friend Maria has also been watching Alex's DP gallery since right after I joined this community ! (no, she is not a member of SmugMug) She was as tickled as I was at having an opportunity to spend some time with Alex! So, since he was King for the Day, the first place we took him to was a Castle!! Some things just HAVE to be! We 'wet his appetite' as to what is available here in our neck of the woods as far as places to go and things to do. Now, he's hungry for more! Our day went by way too quickly, was wonderfully enjoyable and the weather was perfect! He really was having a good time!! I'm thinking his stance here was making it clear that he was NOT going to be wearing a Tiara or one of those fluffy feathered things!! He did see your comments ladies! Within the next couple of days, I'll have a gallery up with the rest of the shots from today! Thank you for a great time together Alex....and Maria!

My photo time will have to be spent creating the new gallery for Carli: Carli's celebration gallery Colby had a GREAT time at the party! He loved playing horseshoes with Grammpa!
LadyKatesPhotography > May 7 The Kiss This is my favorite from our 'dressin' up the chickens' series!! Swear to goodness...........as soon as my partner put the top-hat on this handsome lil' rooster, he very slowly leaned forward to kiss his bride!! In unison, everyone standing in a semi-circle behind me let out an "Aaawwww!!" LadyKatesPhotography > August 11 Hey.....this one's for Alex, Maria and AndreaKaus! I posted yesterday about Maria and I sharing another S'Mugger get-together with ALEX (K. Tiethof) (aktpics)! Part of our local tour for Alex was taking him to our favorite bird-watching spot . Yesterday's DP was taken there; [somewhat] showing one of the reasons for being a favorite spot; standing on a bluff, we're looking at a BIG rock, which is the same height as the bluff, and @25 ft. offshore. Several varieties of birds use this rock (and every other rock in the area!) as a place to roost. There are thousands of birds, giving us much to watch. The best part is as they fly inbetween the bluff, and the rock. This means that sometimes they're flying by at our eye level-- at times only 5 - 10 ft. away-- then sometimes below bluff height!! This provides unique and incredible perspective! Alex has also posted some shots here , and here of our shooting spree together! ************************************************************************************* My --Tiara-- is off to those of you that have posted the gorgeous, sharp images of BIF!! This was the best I could accomplish; sometime soon, I will be going to try again in late afternoon, and hope for no fog.
LadyKatesPhotography > Christmas Eve My husband and I started our courtship in 1993, and married in 1995. Beginning with our first 'time away' together, we started collecting 'christmas Tree' ornaments. Whenever we are away for a minimum of two days/one night, we spend some of our time looking for something we can hang on our tree. The vision was that eventually the only decorations on our tree would be displaying places we've been together! This is the year! We've visited enough places to adequately decorate the tree with nothing else! When we look for 'the decoration/ornament', we hope to find something indicative of our visit, with the name of the area, and maybe with the year written on it. Occasionally, I have to resort to figuring a way to mark them with that name and date. (I wrote the month/year date on the back of this one). We also have several that we've made, during a trip. We even have a couple that are actually the lift-tickets which hung on one of our jackets from snow-skiing adventures! As an example: one of the many things which we did while in Philidelphia, was to check out the Liberty Bell ! Photographed this one tonight, in particular, after a phone visit with our darling Hillary last night!! (Thanks, Hillary.....you're really fun--and sincere, warm & tender hearted, considerate, kind, loving and talented!) ************************************************************************************************** 'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse! (yeah....remember, I now have two cats!) Wedding Bells have been hung by the chimney with care, Knowing that this Christmas wedding, will have a warm, sunny flair!! (That's all for now.....I'm tired!) *************************************************************************************************** MERRY CHRISTMAS! BTW: Travis and Kimberli have enjoyed reading the many wonderful comments offered to them! I really do apologize for not being very efficient about commenting on photos; my SugMug time has been quite limited!

LadyKatesPhotography > July 11 Hey Hillary!! I promised you that I would post a DP of a photo from one of our annual trips!! Here ya go!! MyKey and I, as well as 14 other 'Wonderful Women', will be spending next week camping together in the Sierras!! I will be pulling out of town this Sunday; I'm VERY much looking forward to our adventure! This photo is of one of our favorite places to revisit during our annual time-away: Florence Lake. I took this shot in 2005 when my daughter Kamryn, MyKey and I went on this 'day excursion'. We left our campsite in the morning, with a fabulous picnic, heading for F.L. where we rented one of these 'mini-yachts', then spent the day exploring! The picnic was enjoyed with the sights and sounds of a beautiful waterfall, with its turquoise waters. We have already reserved one of these same beautiful vessels for another 'day trip' this next week! As you've probably figured out, I can hardly wait!! Johnloguk: FYI--the peak in the distance is Ward Mt., 10,862 ft. I won't be able to post another DP before we head out:( Blessings to each of you in this wonderful Daily community. LadyKatesPhotography > June 21 My sister stayed with us last night, trying to get out of the heat of Shell Beach (California). We bribed her saying that if she came for a visit, we would turn the air-conditioner on, seeing as she has no AC--there's no need for it at the coast--until these last several days! This morning she and I took our coffee outside and played with her dog, Toby, and the remote control 4wheeler!! It's funny, funny entertainment! Toby chases it; it chases her and she barks a lot! (We think she loves it!?) At @ 3:00, we heard that it was cooling down at the coast and seeing as it was @110 in our neck of the woods, we spent the rest of the day in Shell Beach relishing the 85 degrees. Was a fun day, Gaysie Mae!!
