My version of "Daily Photos" will be ever-so-typical of myself: 'A Different Little Twist'!!

I'm using this gallery as an impetus: one of my present goals is to add several photos per day into this website.
As I'm doing so, I will choose one of the photos to include in this 365 day project!
(If I experience a difficult time choosing which image to use as my 'Daily Photo', I'll add the other choice(s) into my Contender gallery)

Occasionally, there will be days when the photo was actually taken on that particular day!
This will probably be governed by available time and my creative spirit!

The photos within this gallery are available to order as prints and other merchandise; click on the 'buy' icons.

I will appreciate any comments and/or critiques; click on the 'add comments' on the bottom left, and please include your name! You can also vote on the photos, if you choose; drag your pointer onto the enlarged image on the right; a box will appear on the top right which allows the voting process. Just click either yea-or-nay!

Thank you for visiting this Gallery, and I hope you enjoy the photos presented here!

From the same shoot as my DP from yesterday; however, this IS NOT the use of 'selective coloring', nor has there been a B & W conversion!!

English Staffordshire Bull Terrior(s)
LadyKatesPhotography > April 13

Spent a wonderful evening with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson!

After dinner, our daughter suggested we go visit with the neighbors who have 11 English Staffordshire Bull Terriors! Two grown females, and 9 -7 week old- puppies!! It was a lot of fun! Especially watching 3 year old Colby, either chase or be chased, by a litter of puppies!

The funniest moment was when this particular puppy jumped on him, caught his swim trunks with her teeth, and almost pulled them down!
Colby didn't think that was very nice or funny!

This is my first attempt at selective coloring; that was a fun 'PS session'!

I had a tough time choosing my DP, so I've added a couple more in:
my Contender gallery

Tomorrow, I will be creating a new gallery in my Pet category: English Staffordshire Bull Terriors.

I was at the computer this afternoon, working on photos, when I glanced up to look out the window, and noticed this new Iris which had opened earlier in the day!
After taking some photos of this beauty, I uploaded them into a new gallery which I will be adding to frequently over the next several weeks! A few others also opened today; maybe their photo session will be tomorrow! I will at least go greet them and oggle their glorious splendor!

Ooopps! Rick, I forgot to change the date on the camera!

On April 4 I posted a DP in honor of our dear friend, Sue, who had just lost her battle with cancer. I wish to express my deepest thanks for your comments, kind words, thoughts and prayers.

For years, Sue and I have been 'official members' of a tribe; a group of superlative, fun-loving, tightly bonded women!!
Sue will be forever in our hearts as we continue sharing our lives; being as extraordinary, loving, kind, good-natured, considerate, creative, adventuresome, amusing, inspired/inspirational--sometimes fanciful and maybe preposterous!--as she would expect us to be!!

Tomorrow (Friday) we will be participating in a 'Celebration', in memory of Sue. In preparation, several of our tribe (including myself) gathered in order to create a photo collage to be on display at the festivities. (Sue loved a good party!) It was my job earlier in the week to choose up some photos --knowing y'all will understand this: I always have my camera with me! So, I have the largest percentage of our tribal photos! It was very difficult to choose which ones to use, because there are MANY! However, it was good therapy, as I laughed a lot as I was looking through them! It was also very therapuetic as we designed the collage because instead of crying, we were laughing!

Thank you Sue, for being a part of soooo many good times, much love and laughter, and for the memories!

In heeding a few suggestions that were offered as comments to my DP for yesterday,
I e-mailed johnloguk and asked him to remind me of how he applies his 'special effect'!
He replied, and graciously offered me a few tips!

I kept at the practice session for a while longer, and did post one more of the results:
my Contender gallery

It was a fun session! Thanks, John!
And thanking others for their comments and suggestions!

Attended a workshop this last Sat. & Sun. in Santa Margarita; a community 10 minutes south of us. Took this photo as we were leaving town on Sunday (and riding off into the sunset!) so I could give y'all another glimpse of our area! This is the major downtown district on 'Main Street'!! What is not in the photo to the left of the green building is the liquor store, post office and Auction Barn; across the street is the old time gas station, tire store, cafe and Fire Station.

This is the community which has the town park (complete with gazebo and arched bridge over the creek) with the play structure I featured as a DP on March 19.

We have many different varieties of Iris in the landscape of our yard. They are one of the few flowers which apparently aren't 'Deer Candy'!
This is the first one of the season to show her pretty smiling face!

Our Dearest Sue

'Well done!! Oh good and faithful servant!'

You were an incredible mentor! I will be forever grateful that you were a part of my life!
I'll be watching for your visits!

Say "Hi" to God for me!

I love you, and will miss you very much!

Last night, I went to check out possible locations for an upcoming photo shoot of a client's 3 yr. old son. We're wanting to get a shot of this toddler, after dark, with lights in the background. Since I wasn't taking the clients with me, I needed a subject to practice with! So, I am introducing to you, my buddy, "Fannie"!!

This was taken in a local park which apparently has quite a bit of activity going on at night!! Now, just imagine the looks, laughs and comments I was receiving!! I told them we were creating her modeling portfolio! I also took a 'milk jug' to practice with!! (That was interesting.)

I've included another shot, from a different area of the park, in my: Contender gallery.

I would appreciate your opinions of the two different locations, and any advice/suggestions/comments you'd offer me regarding the upcoming shoot! So, envision a toddler standing/sitting there instead of my Flamingo Friends!! Thanks!
